Why Webex Free Isn’t Enough

Free is a trial.
Your business needs more.

Webex Free gets your team in the door — then hits a wall the moment you need it to work like a business.

Webex Free

What you’re stuck with

  • 40-minute meeting cap — every call ends mid-conversation. Clients notice.
  • 100 attendees max — your all-hands or client demo hits the ceiling.
  • Local recording only — meetings disappear with the laptop. No searchable library.
  • No Webex Calling — no business phone numbers, no voicemail, no PSTN. Zero phone capability.
  • No calendar integration — Google or Outlook meetings don’t connect. Every invite is manual.
  • No IT admin control — no Control Hub policies, no security settings, no user management.
  • Community support only — no SLA, no engineer, no escalation when it breaks.
  • No AI Assistant — meeting summaries, translation, and re-write are paid features.

What your team actually gets

  • 24-hour meetings — no restarts, no scrambling. Runs as long as you need it.
  • 200–1,000 attendees — all-hands, town halls, and large client events without hitting a wall.
  • 10GB+ cloud recording — searchable, shareable, and retained. Never lose a meeting.
  • Webex Calling (Suite) — 1 DID per user, unlimited inbound, 500 pooled outbound minutes, voicemail, auto-attendant.
  • Calendar integration — Google Workspace & M365 hybrid meeting rooms configured per user by our engineers.
  • Full Control Hub — partner-managed provisioning, security policies, device management, and call analytics.
  • Managed support + SLA — a named Perdigon engineer who knows your environment, with guaranteed response times.
  • AI Assistant included — meeting summaries, message re-write, and real-time translation from day one.

Buying direct on webex.com?

What self-serve doesn’t
configure for you

Even on a paid Webex plan, buying direct leaves critical setup to IT — and most teams never complete it. That’s the gap a Cisco partner closes.

  • Webex Calling isn’t in your license — real phone numbers require a separate partner-provisioned Calling plan. webex.com sells Meetings only.
  • Calendar integration requires multi-step admin work — Google and M365 hybrid rooms need Control Hub configuration per user. Most teams skip it.
  • No auto-attendant or call queues — IVR and business-hour routing are Calling features that require partner setup, not a self-serve toggle.
  • Desk phones don’t provision themselves — Cisco desk phones and Webex Room systems require Control Hub device provisioning by a partner engineer.
  • SSO is a complex IT project — SAML/Okta federation through Control Hub takes hours of admin work without partner guidance.
  • Limited analytics — call quality diagnostics and usage reporting require partner-managed Control Hub access to unlock fully.
